Apple's Big Announcement!
Tuesday's keynote "should brighten everyone's day" with a bunch of shiny new stuff.
They say admitting you have a problem is the first step. Well, it's time to declare that I may have an Apple addiction. I'm as pumped for Apple's Tuesday announcement as I am for Christmas, and I imagine that I'm not alone. Here's what we expect to see on Tuesday's apple announcement:
New iPhoneGood news everyone! From what we can tell, Apple will be releasing not one, but two new iPhones! The first is supposedly going to be the iPhone 5s. The 5s is supposed to have a similar look to the iPhone 5, but has some incredible additions. It is rumored that the iPhone 5s will be carried in a new color, Champagne Gold. The iPhone will also debut an upgraded camera and LED light coupled with slow motion video! Oh and get this, a fingerprint sensor in the home button. The other phone is commonly referred to as the iPhone 5c. The 5c is geared to serve the middle ranged phone markets as it is rumored to cost $99 or free with contract. Supposedly the screen size is the same as the 5, but rocks a plastic exterior, rather than a metal one. It also appears that they are adding a little color into the conversation with several different color options. We are guessing that the new phones will be available on September 20th.
ios 7To accompany the new shiny iPhones, one of the biggest announcements is that of ios 7. ios 7 is one of the biggest redesigns Apple devices has ever seen, and we're loving what we're seeing. It's going to add faux textures, gradients and brighter colors. They are redesigning their look and feel to incorporate a whole new color pallet and vibe. ios 7 will be supported on all iphones 4 and higher, as well as ipad 2 and higher. We anticipate to see the ios 7 start rolling out around September 18th.
iTunes RadioAt WWDC Apple stated that its iTunes radio service would be launching in the fall. iTunes Radio will resemble the Pandora and Spotify internet radios, but with the apple flare. We anticipate that for iPhone and iPad users, Apple will integrate iTunes Radio into ios 7 and will be a seamless and welcome addition to the whole package.
OSX 10.9Apple's new operating system, nicknamed "Mavericks" shared the spotlight with the ios 7 announcement. Mac users will note, "wait a minutes, this doesn't have a cat name." Too true, it seems that Apple is now opening the next generation of operating systems, starting with Mavericks. We anticipate to see greater user interface, better battery life, and improved multi monitor support. We aren't sure if OSX 10.9 will be released immediately, but we expect to hear a release date on the 10th.
